Some situations should not wait for an appointment request

Messages sent through this website are read during administrative hours only. They are not monitored continuously, and they are not a way to reach someone quickly.

Immediate danger

If you or someone near you is in immediate physical danger, or if there is a risk of serious harm right now, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. In many places you can also ask an emergency operator to connect you with a mental-health crisis service.

We do not publish specific crisis telephone numbers here, because the correct service depends on the country and region you are in, and an out-of-date number in an urgent moment is worse than none. Your local emergency number, your family doctor or general practitioner, and your regional public-health service can direct you to the crisis line that covers your area.

If waiting feels unsafe but the situation is not an emergency, tell someone you trust where you are and stay with them, and contact a medical service that is open now rather than waiting for a reply to a form.

Non-urgent enquiries

If your situation can wait for a routine reply, the contact page explains what to include and what happens next.
